This is a great study. I am doing it a second timeGood study on the history of the feasts and the psalms of accent. Lots of ahha momentsI have read two of Beth Moore's books and done seven of her bible studies which include two with our church group. (up to 90 or so women with many discussion tables) To be fair and honest just sayin that I don't think this one comes up to her standards. It is too wordy with not much research (she usually excells in that); too many vague and unclear questions which one has to stretch beyond memory to answer. I skipped many of them. I get the idea that she is overly intent in convincing us that "she too is human." which most of us know already and understand. That point is belabored. I do enjoy the Psalms and must admit her approach to them is a bit challenging (I did all of the exercises) ..but I wouldn't recommend this study to others for the preceding reasons especially if you are doing an individual study. In a group you may be able to connect the dots better. I just don't want to say for sure though. I think bottom line is that she learned much and improved greatly since she wrote this one. Despite these critical comments.. I do plan on doing another one of her group bible studies in the fall. Finally, I have been and may be a table leader of one of her studies again. I would never sign up to lead discussion for this study. I think the women would have a hard time with the vagueness and unclarity involved.Wow!!! I highly recommend this wonderful bible study. You learn about why Psalm 120-134 are called Psalm of Ascents. They were sung on the journey to Jerusalem. Just finished this woman's bible study yesterday. We met on Zoom once a week ;)The workbook provided by PeeVee was not marked up, whoever had it originally may have read, but not filled in all of the workbook lines, a perfect used book, thank you so much. One more week to go withy this study of the 15 Psalms of Ascent. It's been a wonderful journey with a small group of women. We turned this 6 week study into 12 weeks by spending one week sharing what we gleaned from the workbook and the next week watching the video. You will get what you put into it. After studying each psalm it is suggested you write your own psalm from what has spoken to your heart and situation. It's amazing how fresh these ancient words are to us today.Did this with my small groups. AmazingOur small Bible study group has done almost all of Beth's studies and we love her. I have to say this is not my very favorite but if you too are running out of her studies, give it a try! The videos are also great but I found them on eBay for a fraction of the cost :)Just finished this study at church and found it truly amazing. This book is great . Really makes you think and I've learnt so much through this study. Would definitely recommend this.Beth Moore is a passionate author and this is a great study for women. Challenging and heartfelt, a great aid for personal or group bible study. Highly recommended.Beth offers some great insights to what the Israelites would have been experiencing as they made their way to Jerusalem for the Holy Feasts, and how the words of the Psalms are as relevant to us today as they were in the days that they were written.Excellent bible study! I really learned a lot from Beth's in-depth analysis of the Psalms of Ascent. very Highly Recommended.I am disappointed that there is a restriction on the number of books that I could order. I needed 31 but could only order 10 for my bible class. I went to other sources to purchase the remainder. Why is there a restriction?
