Description
Journey through the New Testament, exploring the period and setting in which the letters were written, as well as the circumstances of the authors when they wrote them. This series of studies begins with the earliest written letters, following the writers through their travels and trials until the last book was composed. This is a first in a series of study guides that will help you understand the Bible, not just read it. It is a companion book to studying the New Testament either by yourself or as a Bible study group. The interesting part is, it is not written in the order that the books are published in the New Testament, it is written so that you will be studying the Bible in chronological order, beginning with the Book of James in or about the year 49 or 50 A.D. Joanne Liggan begins the study with a little summary of what you will be reading in each book. She then goes through chapter by chapter and each verse of the scripture is explained in detail with questions highlighted to make you think and remember what you are studying. It is an easy way to relate what you learn to your own life. I highly recommend this book for anyone who really wants to study the Bible and learn its significance to our daily lives!
