On the whole quite good, especially in noting the role this complicated epistle has played in church history. Covers most of the passages where important Church figures have built theological fortresses. What it doesn't do, however, is follow the rhetorical structure and trajectory of Paul's argument as he builds to 13:8-10. Since St. Paul was a master of rhetoric, that's a dynamic in the epistle that deserves notice.The DVD is eight lessons with two parts to each lesson. The first is a dramatic reading of some of the scriptures and the second goes into some of the theology that has resulted from the passages. Using in a small group setting, this is my intro where we talk about and overview of a portion of the scripture - major ideas, theology etc. The next week we start an in depth look into the chapter(s) covered by the video.
