I wish I had this book 30 years ago. It would have enhanced not only my preaching but many of my adult and youth learning opportunities. I preached an Easter sermon once (in the late 1990s?) using the film TITANIC as a late 20th century illustration of how to experience the Resurrection (because near the end of the film "Rose" says Jack "saved my life in every way a person can be saved", then she takes his surname in order to escape her depressing past. Isn't that what we do when we all ourselves "Christians"? The sermon was well-received, especially by young adults who doubt the whole Christian narrative. With this book in hand I could have done the same 500 times over.
